Peahen

The drawing was made at a local family run farm using a black brush pen on a recycled book end paper.  This drawing is one of 9 drawings made that day of the Guinea Fowl Pea Hen.  Pea Hens are very quick on their claws and their beautiful black and white markings are remarkable.

I prefer to draw on old paper for its unique qualities colour and thickness. The drawing feels more like an sculpture.
